Randy Lee Storm

Randy Lee Storm, 67, of Martinsville and formerly of Monrovia, passed peacefully from this life in the comfort of his own home and surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. He was born in Lebanon, IN on January 14, 1957, to the late Albert and Gloria Dorthea (Daw) Storm. One of five children, Randy’s father purchased a new home, and the family packed their bags, settling in Wilbur, where the kids reveled in the joys of a country upbringing, playing tag and all the other shenanigans kids are known for. After graduating with the class of 1975 from Monrovia High School, Randy proudly enlisted in the United Stated Army, serving his country for four years. A talented electrician and hard worker, Randy worked for several companies throughout the years, including Enterprise mechanical, Gaylor Electric, and lastly Deem Electric. He was also a member of the American legion post 230 in Martinsville. A dedicated father and continuously there for his children, he coached his son’s little league baseball team, taking them to the championship every year. Meeting the love of his life and soulmate, Janet, while at a local watering hole, he was enamored with her beauty and pursued her until she finally invited him to be her plus one at a relative’s wedding. The two were inseparable after and were happily married on January 31, 1997, blending their two families into one. A car aficionado, Randy frequently attended car shows, was gifted with the ability to fix anything mechanical, and in the last few years he spent his free time restoring his beloved 1992 Chevy 4x4. A motorcycle lover, he often cruised the countryside with the wind in his hair. An avid fisherman, Randy was also a clever hunter. Funny, ornery, and frequently sarcastic, he never failed to say what was on his mind, even if offended you, but he always did so with love (well, mostly). His cussing vocabulary was over the top, but you always knew where you stood with him. He loved his family deeply, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. With a smile that could light up a room, or a scowl that could scare the toughest people, Randy was a force to be reckoned with and will be forever missed by all who knew him. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Greg Bewley. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 25 years, Janet Storm of Martinsville; children, Brice Storm (Crystal) of Noblesville, Brandie Storm (Mike) of Martinsville, Boyd Johnson of Martinsville, Mike Utter (Jessika) of Greenwood, Jeff and Denny Johnson of Martinsville, Jackie Payne Hamilton (Bernie) of Eminence, Adam and Shane Knight of Martinsville, Miranda Adams of Louisville, KY, and Robin Bewley of Martinsville; siblings, Allan Storm (Ellen) of Martinsville, Peggy Bond (Richard) of Indianapolis, Lewis Storm of Mooresville, and Dale Storm of Mooresville; in-laws, Roger Huff (Glynnia) of Martinsville, Gary Huff (Debbi) of Monrovia, Boyd Huff (Deborah) of Connersville, Diane Stultz (Bill) of Martinsville, and Doug Huff of Martinsville; along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm, on Monday, March 4, 2024, with a Military Walk-Through beginning promptly at 7:45pm at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11am, on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the funeral home, with an additional calling held an hour prior. Pastor Danny McAdams will officiate services and Randy will be taken to his final resting place via his treasured 92’ Blue Chevy, led by a black Chevelle and a blue Chevelle, as well as a 71’ two tone orange and white Chevy Cheyenne, with full military honors in Mt.
