Lon A. Davidson

Lon A. Davidson, 73, of Mooresville, passed from this life on Thursday, August 17, 2023, while in the comfort of his home. He was born in El Dorado, KS on May 26, 1950 to the late Robert and Lucille (Williamson) Davidson. A graduate with the class of 1968 from El Dorado High School, Lon remained in Kansas exploring opportunities in life. In the mid 1990’s, a friend in Indiana offered him a career opportunity as the General Manager of Americrawl Waterproofing. Accepting the position, Lon packed his bags and headed east. Stepping down from the trials and tribulations of being the boss, he went into sales, before moving on, securing employment with Romine Davis Construction, where he deservingly retired in 2013. A member of the American Legion Post #103 in Mooresville, Lon could also be found belly up to the bar at Heavy’s on any given day, hanging out with his people and enjoying a refreshing Bud Light. Beyond generous, he was known to do anything for anyone in need. A good father, he passed on to his only son his ability to be his own man living life for himself and no one else. Independent and hardworking, Lon was also fun-loving and well known within his circle. Not one to hold back, he regularly spoke his mind without filter, and never hesitated to let you know if you weren’t exactly up to par. Private by nature, he enjoyed the simple things in life from tinkering with his beloved RV, spending time with his furbaby Fin, to just sitting casually with his friends enjoying a good conversation. Lon will be forever missed by all who were blessed to know him. He leaves behind his son, Elgn Davidson (Kathryn) of Littleton, CO; sister, Eloise Reeves of Haysville, KS; grandson, Daemien Davidson of Littleton, CO; and his cherished friends, Todd Everett (Carol) of Mooresville and Ray Mayes (Clay) of St. Louis, MO. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place from 1 to 5pm, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Heavy's Bar in Grill in Camby.
