Cassidy Trusty

Cassidy Ione Trusty,33, of Monrovia, Indiana, unexpectedly passed on Friday, November 20, 2020, at her home in Bellingham, Washington. The youngest of three, she was born on December 25, 1986, in Indianapolis, to Jerry and Betty (Kale) Trusty. Alumni of the Monrovia Bulldogs, Cassidy graduated in the MHS class of 2005. Leaving the nest to continue her studies at Ferris State University in Michigan, she took residence within the Pacific Northwest after school. She loved the serene, scenic views of Washington where her hobbies included hiking, camping and crab fishing. An avid cook and an arts and crafts enthusiast, she was a creative crafter and master of various DIY projects and recipes. Finding joy in the great outdoors, she inherited her mother’s green thumb and was most proud of her gardens. In addition, Cassidy was a loving fur mom to two spoiled feline companions, Natti and Bagheera. With an ever-changing bucket list, Cassidy was fearless to pursue her dreams. She loved to branch out and try new things; experiencing events, places, and customs around the world, she was a well-rounded traveler. A kindred spirit with a vibrant smile and contagious laugh, she leaves an ocean of love and a legacy of adventures that will forever remain a cherished memory inside the hearts of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Matthew & Joan Kale of Monrovia. Survivors include her mother, Betty (Kale) Trusty of Monrovia; father, Jerry A. Trusty of Seoul, Korea; sisters, Jessica DeWeese (husband, Tony) of Monrovia and Mallory Trusty (husband, Tim) of Pennsylvania; nephew, Owen DeWeese; paternal grandparents, Shirley and Stanley Trusty of Martinsville; along with countless extended family members and cherished friends who will miss her dearly. Services will be held privately for family and close friends at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia and cremation will follow.
