Carol Ann Wilson

Carol A. (Trego) Wilson, 82, of Monrovia, passed from this life on Monday, October 31, 2022, while in the care of Miller’s Merry Manor. She was born in Malvern, PA on April 29, 1940, to the late Haines and Jeanette (Snow) Trego. A proud graduate from Tredyffrin High School in Pennsylvania, Carol wasn’t one to remain in one place, moving around the country often. Meeting her second husband and the love of her life while living in Florida, the pair were married on her 35th birthday in Alabama. In the mid 70’s, the couple chose the quiet, small-town life of Monrovia; settling in to raise their family. A dedicated mother, she never missed one of her children’s, and later grandchildren’s sporting events, and was known to be the loudest cheerleader in the stands. Supportive of her school’s wrestling team, she and Stan started the Monrovia Youth Wrestling Club, aiding in enriching the kid’s experiences. As the boys grew, her house became the safe zone where all their friends flocked, spending many a weekend hanging out in the home’s basement. As life progressed and retirement began, she and Stan found joy in traveling, along with hosting the annual fish fry, hog roast, and Monrovia Festival parade. A true sports lover, Carol loved the Eagles and the Colts, with Peyton Manning as her all-time favorite quarterback. Artistic by nature, she was gifted with the talent of painting and storytelling. Her guilty pleasure was watching the QVC channel, purchasing many items on Stan’s dime just to goad him. While she knew no filter, all in all Carol was one of the most loving and caring people you will ever meet. She will be forever missed. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Lou Evans, Eddie Trego and John Trego. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Stanley Wilson of Mooresville; children, Stanley Wilson, Jr. (Kris) of Camby, Andy Wilson (Tina) of Seymour, Eric Wilson (Deja) of Palm Harbor, FL, and Tim Wilson of Palm Harbor, FL; as well as grandchildren, Peyton, Kolton, Sutton, and Connor Wilson. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. Friends and family are invited to gather from 1:00pm to 3:00 pm, on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia, with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service beginning promptly at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Jim Shields will officiate, and burial will take place in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Monrovia Wrestling Club, Attn: Athletic Dept., 205 S.
