Bob Campbell Sr.

Robert Boyd "Bob" Campbell, Sr., 83, of Monrovia, was released of all earthly ailments and followed his wife to heaven on Friday, May 12, 2023, in Franciscan St. Francis Hospital, in Indianapolis. He was the first child born to Clayton Sr. and Maysel Maxine (Fawbush) Campbell, arriving to this world in the town of Scottsburg, on September 30,1939. Graduating from Monrovia High School in 1957, Bob Campbell was truly a pillar within society and advocate for youth. A boy scout leader for over 20 years and aided in many disaster relief programs, establishing a successful career in selling automotive and golf cart parts, he never stirred from being a gracious family man and a good servant to God. After retiring, Bob took on a second career working security for G4S Security Company and Securitas Security Services. Bob shared vows with Sue on January 23, 1983, and was blessed to blend their four children and three generations of grandchildren that followed. Attending many of their sporting events, he umpired softball a bit, but his favorite event of all was wrestling. Bob and Sue were faithful members of the Bethel Friends Meeting Church, and they enjoyed traveling. The happy couple would splurge on trips with one of his favorites being Hawaii. Vacations were often spent with family, and he enjoyed the golf course. Bob will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to have known him. Proceeding him in death by 37 days, wife, Loretta Sue Campbell; along with his parents; sisters, Carolyn Richardson, and Patricia Massey; daughter, Pam Woodard Campbell. Survivors include his children, Rhonda Callahan of Avon, Rob Campbell, Jr. of Monrovia and Mark Woodard of Monrovia; beloved sisters, Linda Imhausen of Danville, Dianne Parker of Mooresville, Donna Fishel of Mooresville, and Teresa Pappas of Plainfield; brother, Clayton Campbell, Jr. of Martinsville; in-laws, Roberta “Berti” Bristow of Linton and Phil Castor of Carmel; cherished grandchildren, Rob III, Nikki, Shane and Mark; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Lakota, Haley, Nolan, Kaiden and Kayleann; and one great great granddaughter, Adalynn Grace; along with a host of extended family members and fellow friends. Cremation and Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. Friends and family are invited to gather on Friday, May 19, from 12:30 to 2:30pm at Bethel Friends Meeting Church, 10492 Bethel Church Rd, Mooresville, IN 46158. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will begin promptly at 2:30pm, and Pastor Cameron Bottema will officiate. Bob will be inurned at Bethel Cemetery next to his wife immediately following services.
