Danny T. Stahl
April 14, 1952 - June 7, 2022
Danny T. Stahl, 70, of Martinsville passed from this life, gaining his angel wings, with his devoted wife by his side while in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Indianapolis on April 14, 1952, to the late Tommie R. and Jewel A. (Norris) Stahl. The second youngest of four boys, Danny attended Woodrow Wilson School #75 until 8th grade when the family packed their belongings to move to the quiet country life of Morgan County so the boys could get their very first pony. A proud graduate from Mooresville High School with the class of 1971, he later secured employment with Colonial Bread, along with Anderson Orchard, before dedicating thirty-seven and a half years with National Starch and Chemical as a Material Handler. In 1982 Danny met the woman of his dreams and future soulmate, Shirley. They spent their first date in Brown County, where he wooed her in, earning her forever affection. The two were joyously united in marriage on December 5, 2002, spending 42 glorious years together. One to enjoy country drives, the pair frequently traveled to Tennessee, visiting Dollywood, as well as Gatlinburg. Hardworking by nature, Danny didn’t have a lazy bone in his body, from sunup to sundown, he never stopped. A Jack of all Trades, he could be found tending his garden, tinkering with cars, playing on his cherished Kubota tractor, or instilling the knowledge of being a true handyman to his grandchildren, passing on his skills as a talented plumber and auto mechanic. A true-blue family man, Danny held his family near and dear in his heart, loving them completely. He was selfless and good hearted, continuously putting other’s needs and wants first. With an outgoing personality, he made friends everywhere he went. He loved tractors and horses, but above all his passion was being the best Poppy in the world to his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. When he fell ill in August, Shirley continuously stayed at his side caring for him faithfully day in and day out. He leaves a legacy of light, love, and knowledge to those fortunate enough to have known him and will be forever missed. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cliff, and Vera Norris, and Elthra and Clementine Belcher, along with his brothers, Mark, and Randy Stahl. Danny leaves behind his wife, Shirley L. (Barrett) Stahl of Martinsville; brother, Rodney Stahl of Monrovia; children, Shad Stahl, and Angie Stahl, both of Camby, and Jessica Berkholz (Travis) of Martinsville; grandchildren, Broghan Reynolds of Bloomington, Braxten Reynolds, and Johnnie Reynolds, both of Camby, Kaylee Davis (Mike), Kinley Breish, and Sadie Edwards, all of Martinsville; great grandchildren, Addy, Easton, and Brynlee Davis, and Janis Edwards. Cremation Arrangements have been entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. A Gathering of Friends & Family will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 3:00p.m., until 7:00p.m., at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will begin promptly at 7:00p.m., and Ben Speheger will officiate.
