Toni Louise Campbell

Toni Louise (Schelm) Campbell, 70, of South Haven, Michigan, and formerly of Monrovia, passed from this life on August 6, 2019 while surrounded by her loving family and in the comfort of her home. She was born September 7, 1948 in Indianapolis to the late Vincent and Eileen (Fuller) Schelm. A 1966 Monrovia High School graduate and proud Bulldog cheerleader, Toni met her future husband and father of her children, Ned Campbell. The two were united in marriage on December 28, 1967. Ned enlisted in the United States Navy and they traveled throughout the US, being adventurous and living in several different states. A passionate gardener, Toni was creative and artistic. She had a flair for table setting, often incorporating nature into her perfect placements. Color was everything in her art. She enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas and visiting casinos with friends. Toni was a self-employed Antique Dealer for thirty-four years. She often gave her grandchildren small trinkets as gifts. With a passion in her soul and a child in her heart, she knew how to get on their level. She enjoyed building forts, playing games and drinking juice boxes with them. A loving and free-spirited mother and grandmother, Toni nurtured her children with wisdom, encouragement and empathy. She was selfless matriarch, going above and beyond to teach them the ways of the world. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Along with her parents, Toni was preceded in death by her infant son, Jeffery Campbell, and her brother, Fred Schelm. Toni is survived by her loving children, Lora Tebbetts (husband, Steve) of Tecumseh, MI and Sarah Block (husband, Ryan) of Oceanside, CA; siblings, Herb Schelm (wife, Paula) of Monrovia, Diane Rhudy (husband, Don) of Monrovia, Jeanie Schelm (husband, Mark) of Bloomington, Sandy Hayes-White (deceased husband, Tom) of Monrovia, Patty Wallace (husband, Bill) of Monrovia and Kim Heald (husband, Dick) of Monrovia; grandchildren, Jessica and Emily; along with several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to gather on Tuesday, August 13 from Noon to 2 p.m. at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2 p.m., Richard Dickison will officiate, and burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall.
