Sue Eubanks Gary

Sue Ellen (Eubanks) Gary, 67, lifelong resident of Monrovia, was unexpectedly called to Heaven on Thursday, May 10, 2018, while recovering from heart surgery in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born on November 1, 1950, in Indianapolis, to the late, Richard and Alma (Atherton) Eubanks, who survives. Raised on a farm in Monrovia with her older brother, David and her younger twin sisters, Denise and Diane, Sue attended Monrovia High School with the class of 1969 and was a past member of the Monrovia Christian Church. Sue proudly worked as the head cook at the restaurant in the TA truck stop for nearly 30 years. A loving mother of three boys, she was an easy going, happy and straightforward person. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her soulmate and beloved husband, Stephen M. Gary in 2012; to whom she was united in marriage on in November of 1970. Close with her family, she enjoyed spending time with them and genuinely cared about others. Her laugh was one that will be missed. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the lake property and fishing with her siblings, watching soap operas on tv and going out to eat for dinner on Friday’s with Steve. Loved by many, Sue was a character and will be missed by all who were blessed to know her. Survivors include her sons, Richard “AJ” Gary of Indianapolis, Todd Gary of Monrovia and James “Mike” Gary of Florida; mother, Alma Eubanks; brother, David Eubanks (wife, Sandy) of Hall; twin sisters, Denise Graham (husband, Jimmy) and Diane Eubanks both of Monrovia; grandchildren, Stephanie, Christopher, Taylor, Tyler and Jada; great grandchildren, Cameron, Skyler, Bailey, Brianna and Chris; sister-in-law, Judy Gary of Mooresville along with a host of special nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends are casually invited to attend a Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, in the Monrovia Christian Church.
