Shirley Jean Frick

Shirley J. Frick, 74, of Brownsburg, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday June 7, 2017. She was born January 29, 1943, in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late Aaron Clay and Lois Marie (Pruitt) Raper. She married the love of her life, William “Bill” Andrew Frick on September 15, 1973. Shirley was and always will be a joy to others. This was evident by her overall loving spirit. Her life was exemplified by her complete devotion as a wife and mother. When anyone asked what she did for work Shirley would reply, “My #1 job is loving and caring for my husband and children”. A whole new ballgame came into play when her grandchildren came along and they truly were the sun, moon and stars in her life. In addition, she enjoyed and cherished her family of neighbors on “The Ridge”. A beautiful example of the Proverbs 31 wife, Shirley would sacrifice anything for her loved ones and found great purpose in being the ultimate wife and mother. True to scripture, her children do rise and will forever call her blessed. After her children started school, she went to work at IU Health, where she dedicated over 20 years of service; retiring in 2006. Shirley proudly supported Bill’s service to our country and was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion in Speedway. Full of spunk and cheer, she was an avid Colts fan. A candid and pure nurturer, she enjoyed hosting family get togethers, working on her flower pots, dancing and listening to anything by Elvis. Shirley’s legacy will continue to shine in hearts of all who were blessed to love her. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Michael Stima and Eddie Moehrl; along with two sons-in-law, Peter Davis and Montrell Phillips. She leaves behind her loving husband and soulmate, William “Bill” Andrew Frick of Brownsburg; adored children, John Stima (wife, Vickie) and Karen “Sue” Bloom (husband, Chuck) of Ohio, Kristy Frick Ault of Brownsburg, Kimberly Phillips (late husband, Montrell) of Indianapolis, Kerrie Davis (late husband, Pete) of Eminence and Korrie Frick of Avon; daughter-in-law, Shirlin (late husband, Michael) of Ohio; siblings, Kenneth Raper, Denise Austin and Faye Johnson all of Memphis, Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Kelen Roe of Indianapolis and Wanda Faucett of Ohio; and precious grandchildren, Eddie Moehrl, Michael Moehrl, Chad Stima, Ryan Stima, Ali Bloom, Abi Bloom, Chas Bloom, Natalie Bloom, Noah Stima, Shelby Ault, Olivia Ault, London Behrens, Josie Behrens, Kalynn Phillips, William Tylor Davis, Peter Macoy Davis, Lillian Davis, Zoe York, Lucy York, Ava York; as well as one great grandchild, Aleigha Jade. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3pm, on Monday, June 12th, at the Hazelwood Christian Church. Visitation will be held prior from 1:00pm until the time of service. Pastor Steve Ranson will be officiating and services will conclude with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia.
