Samantha S. Jackson

Samantha “Sam” S. Jackson, 35, of Brownsburg and formerly of Monrovia, gained her angel wings on Monday, October 4, 2021, with her loving family by her side, while in the care of Danville Regional Hospital. She was born on September 18, 1986, in Danville KY, to the late Billy “Dale” Jackson and Terl K. Still, who survives. Transplanted into the small town life of Monrovia at an early age, Sam was a sweet and bubbly little girl who warmed hearts with her adorable little lisp. With a private circle of friends, yet a large network of acquaintances, Sam spent her extracurricular activities in choir, as well as cheerleading with the Monrovia youth league. After high school, she secured employment, finding her passion for being able to connect with people of all walks of life, as a leasing manager for apartment complexes. Her first job was with Beech Mill on the south side of Indy, later moving to Legends, formerly known as Coppertree, before landing her forever job with Dublin Glen Apartments. Free-spirited, fun-loving and sometimes with a wicked, dark sense of humor, Sam was a no nonsense type of gal; it was her way or the highway at times. She loved life, her family, and especially her son, Brayden. A fierce and protective mother, she was a matriarch to be reckoned with. She was deeply connected to nature in the spiritual sense, finding solace in meditation and the healing powers of crystals. Deeply rooted with her father, Dale, the two were often referred to as “two peas in a pod”, sharing a strong bond of inner connections. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents Tracy and Eleanor Still, and Billy C. Jackson. Sam leaves behind her beloved son Brayden T. Jackson of Brownsburg; mother Terl Still of Brownsburg; brothers Billy Jackson of Mooresville and Jesse B. Cline (Alex) of Greencastle; best friend Sam Asperger and her son, Tristan of Jamestown; and her fur baby Mr. P. Sam’s family would like to give a special shout-out to the amazing team at Danville Regional Hospital. The ICU Team there did everything within their power to ensure she would pull through her ailments, to continue her life’s journey as a dedicated mother, daughter, sister and all around stand up human being. They tried their best, but it just wasn’t in God’s plan. Cremation Arrangements have been entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. A Gathering of Friends & Family will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 11:30a.m. until 1:30p.m. at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel, with A Celebration of Life Service beginning promptly at 1:30p.m. Pastor Keenan Steinway will officiate, and services will be livestreamed on Light Memorial’s Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, Samantha’s family requests that those who knew and loved her either leave a memory condolence on our website, fill a memory card out during visitation, or a handwritten note via mail to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel, 585 E Main St, Monrovia, IN 46157.
