Roscoe L. Trammell

Roscoe L. Trammell, 77, of Martinsville, passed from this life unexpectedly in his home on November 30, 2021, rejoin his beloved wife Wanda in Heaven. He was born in Jellico, TN on April 9, 1944, to the late Homer L. and Virgie L. (Botts) Trammell. Born and raised in the rural life of Tennessee, the Trammell family moved north, settling in Indianapolis, where his father found steady employment. Introduced to a sweet girl named Wanda at the tender age of 17, the pair fell madly in love and were married on September 16, 1960. With a yearning for a simpler life, the family planted their roots back in the country life in 1980. A skilled and masterful welder, Roscoe began his career with Bryant’s, before securing employment as a certified welder in the aviation industry with Tube Processing, deservingly retiring in November 2011. Throughout the years, he perfected his innate talent, welding everything from midget race cars to fighter jets, building Patriot Missiles, as well as working on the Concord. In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and hunting, with his favorite mark being turkey. Devoting himself to God, he was a proud member of the General Assembly & Church of the Firstborn, faithfully attending regularly, reveling in the brethren. He will be deeply missed. Along with his parents, Roscoe is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Carolyn (Land) Trammell; siblings Bill Trammell, Shirley Harris and James Trammell; great grandchildren Annesleigh and Colton. He leaves behind his three children Paula W. Adams of Indianapolis, Richard L. Trammell (Tracey) of Poland, and Lewis C. Trammell of Trafalgar; sister Debbie Thorp of Whiteland; grandchildren Brandon Adams (Heather) of Avon, Dustin Adams of Greenwood, Amanda Wessell of Indianapolis, and Jeremy Trammell of Poland; along with his great grandchildren Maddison, Ty, Kayehl, Raegan, Kynsli, Ryleigh, Jacob, Ashlyn, Cadence, and Addison. Cremation Arrangements have been entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia, and no services are planned at this time.
