Noah William Young

Noah William Young, 86, of Monrovia, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026, while surrounded by the two women he loved most. He was born on April 20, 1940, in Hyden, Kentucky, to the late Dan and Tempie (Collins) Young. Raised in the hills of Kentucky, Noah learned the value of hard work at an early age. At the age of 13, he moved to Ohio for work where he met Betty Ann Foust when he was 17 years old and it was love at first sight. The pair were united in marriage on May 6, 1961, and they settled in Indianapolis. Together they shared 65 years of marriage, building a life centered on hard work, loyalty, and family. Noah worked for WABCO for 25 years until the company closed and later retired from Apex Precision Technology in 2004 as a talented machinist. In 1974, he and Betty purchased their forever home in Monrovia, where they created a life that they cherished together for more than five decades. A man who never sat still, Noah enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Even after retirement, he stayed busy, building a pond and two pole barns by hand. Known for being able to fix almost anything, Noah was respected for his strong work ethic, careful planning, and quiet determination. Though he was stern and modest by nature and not always one to openly show affection, those who knew him never doubted how deeply he loved his family. He was loyal, faithful, and dependable — the kind of man friends and neighbors turned to for advice and wisdom. Noah will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Polly Hoskins, Berniece Edgert, Vestie Osborne, Vadis Couch, Matilda Couch, Mannon Young, Henry Young, Paul Young, Burley, and Bob Young. Survivors include his beloved wife, Betty Young of Monrovia; daughter, Tina Young of Monrovia; brothers, Ed Young (Zora) of Ohio and David Young of Kentucky; along with many extended family members and friends. Cremation Arrangements were entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel, in Monrovia, and no services will be held.
