Lucia Marie Riddle

Lucia Marie (Hillman) Riddle, 64, of Indianapolis, formerly of Brooklyn, passed from this life on Friday, November 11, 2016, in St. Francis South Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born on July 9, 1952, in Martinsville, to the late Barney and Betty (Mannies) Hillman. Lucia grew up in Morgan County with six siblings and attended school at Brooklyn. A strong, kind lady, she selflessly gave the shirt off of her back and would often go without to help others. Her hobbies included reading books, coloring and working crossword puzzles. Above all, Lucia loved her family and devoted her life to her loved ones. In addition, she was a good cook and enjoyed surrounding herself with good company. Always generously giving, Lucia frequently supported the Juveniles Diabetes Foundation and sparingly donated when it was possible. Her beautiful, gentle, loving spirit will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Douglas Riddle and her brother, Scott Hillman. Survivors include her sons, David Riddle (wife, Jennifer) of Monrovia, Chris Riddle (former spouse, Rebecca) of Brooklyn and Tony Riddle of Florida; siblings, Linda Brownen (husband, Bo) of Monrovia, Sonny Hillman (wife, Patty) of Portage, Steve Hillman (companion, Patty) of Greenwood, Tim Hillman (companion, Mary) and Tracey Calvert (husband, Carl) of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Levi, Luke, Lili, Dalton, Dakota, Quinten, Chelsea, Tony Jr., Elizabeth, Chance and one on the way; great grandchildren, Rhy’Anna and one on the way; niece, Audrey Andrew-Trotter (companion, Earl) of Indianapolis and many cherished extended family members. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:30pm, on Monday, November 14, 2016, in Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. Friends and family may gather for visitation starting at 5pm until the time of service. Pastor Rick Worley will officiate and cremation will follow services. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to help offset funeral expenses, c/o Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel, 585 E. Main Street, Monrovia, IN 46157.
