Julie Connor

Julie R. Connor, 54, of Monrovia, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, in Aurora, Indiana. She was born on April 22, 1962, in Indianapolis, to Lloyd and Rose (Lee) Owens. Julie graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1980. A strong-willed, free-spirited and fun-loving woman, Julie had a piercing, infectious laugh and was the type of person to never meet a stranger. While out dancing one night, Julie instantly clicked with a man that she met and found the love of her life, Timothy Connor; to whom she was united in marriage on March 24, 1991. Shortly after, they moved to Monrovia, where they successfully raised four beautiful children together. In addition to being a compassionate mother and wife, Julie worked for a period of time in the suites at Conseco and Lucas Oil. A generous volunteer in the community, she proudly supported her children by working many games in the concession stand and even led the Monrovia High School Athletics Booster Club. Julie was a talented cook; specializing in making the best lasagna and salad. On the weekends, Tim and Julie could be found boating on their Chris Craft or at the Lighthouse Yacht Club in Aurora, where they enjoyed staying at the dock and spending time with friends and family. Although her time on earth was brief, she lived life to the fullest and left a smiling legacy of memories with all who were bless to know her. Along with a host of cherished in-laws, survivors include her parents, Lloyd and Rose Owens of Indianapolis; her loving husband, Timothy Connor of Monrovia; sons, Scott Dobkins (wife, Anastacia) and Timothy Connor, II (wife, Jessica Blanco-Marcos) both of Monrovia; step-daughters, Melinda Lindsey and Corie Connor both of Indianapolis; brother, Page Owens (wife, Kathy) of Indianapolis; three adored grandchildren, Paul McGinley, Talan and Maddox Dobkins; canine companions and fur-babies, Rudy, Otie and Netty. Friends and family may visit from 1-5pm, on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia, with a Celebration of Life Service beginning promptly at 5pm. Pastor Jack Elliott will officiate services and cremation will follow.
