Joe Iliff

Joseph Paul Iliff, 35, of Stilesville and formerly of Monrovia, suddenly passed from this life on Sunday, May 15, 2016, due to an automobile accident in Hendricks County. He was born on February 14, 1981, in Franklin, to Robert George and Meriedith “Mary” (Rohrer) Iliff. Joe was raised with three brothers in Echo Lake and was homeschooled by his mother. From a young age, he developed a large, compassionate and giving heart. He grew up as a member of Lifeline Baptist Church in Camby and as a child, he became a certified clown and performed magic tricks at Methodist Hospital. Always known to be humble and kind, Joe could make friends with anyone and was always the first to offer a hand to someone in need. He married the love of his life, Kristen on June 19, 2004 and became the proud father of two cherished little boys. A Cub Scout leader for pack 305, Joe was very active with his children and truly enjoyed spending time with them by helping with homework and sharing his knowledge of building rat rods with Paul. In addition to always putting his family first, he was a talented, respected and loyal diesel mechanic at M&K Truck Center; holding the only title as a Certified Natural Gas Mechanic. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, sitting around bonfires, riding four wheelers, playing golf and most of all just being with family and friends. A hands-on, mister-fix-it, and overall stand-up guy, Joe will deeply be missed by all who were blessed to know him. Survivors include his loving wife, Kristen (Rudy) Iliff of Stilesville; adored children, Paul Landon and Micah Joseph Iliff of Stilesville; parents, Bob and Mary Iliff of Monrovia; brother, Tom Iliff (wife, Michelle) of Mooresville, Ben Iliff (wife, Melissa) of Michigan and John Iliff of Plainfield; mother and father-in-law, Brian and Shari Wray of Mooresville; brother-in-law, Jacob Wray of Mooresville; canine companion, Bella; and many extended family members and close friends. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm, on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1pm, on Friday, May 20, 2016, at the funeral home. Joe will take his last ride on a custom Rat Rod to his final resting place at Mt.
