Jim Patterson

James “Jim” Jon Patterson, 66, of Mooresville, passed from this life on December 24, 2021, while in the care of St. Francis Hospital, South campus in Indianapolis. He was born on June 29, 1955, in Charleston, South Carolina, to the late John A. and Roberta M. (Summers) Patterson. Grounded to the values of a family oriented upbringing, Jim spent his early years on the family farm in Wisconsin, where he developed a strong character and a passion for both football and becoming a self-proclaimed #1 Packers fan. His career in catering and restaurant management led him to be a masterful cook. Taking pride in hosting backyard parties, he was the host with the most and thoroughly content to deliver entertainment and provide for friends and family. Not one to hold stock of materialistic things, Jim found his happy to be the experience of travel; taking in the sights, sounds, and history of each destination. With a kind and loving demeanor, he was generous to the core. Consistent to always consider the needs of another, he was selfless to prioritize his own last. He was a funny by nature and genuine gentleman, he was known for telling jokes and making people laugh. Never missing a beat or forgetting the story, the punch lines were on point and he efficiently delivered every single time. .Above all, Jim genuinely had a great life, and he loved his children, family, friends and fur friends with every inch of his being. Gone too soon, yet never must his memory part from the love that continues to live within the hearts of those who got to know and also loved him. Jim leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Pam (Glassburn) Patterson of Mooresville; children, Nicholas Patterson (Amanda) of Apex, NC, Jackson Patterson (Lauren) of Zionsville, Jason Wilson (Alexandra) of Indianapolis, Amy Wilson (Josh) of Mooresville, and Cody Wilson of Mooresville; siblings, Gary Patterson (Fransico) of Sebastopol, CA and Janet Holt (Ron) of Gas City; grandchildren, Brecken, Ruby, Hazel, and Grayson; niece, April Ailes; along with his beloved "service kitty" that he named, Nita. Cremation Arrangements have been entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
