Jerry Gott

Jerry Lee Gott, Jr., 64, of Eminence, was called to cross into the gates of Heaven while comfortably napping at home on Saturday, July 17, 2021. A fellow member and friend within the Eminence community and brotherhood of the Mid-West Motorcycle Club and Masonic Lodge #440 of Eminence. One of the five Gott children to grow up in Eminence, Jerry was born on August 24, 1956, to the late, Jerry Sr. and Patricia (Moorefield) Gott, who survives. Jerry graduated with the class of 1973 and wound up in Las Vegas, for a little over decade where he held various positions in casino security, bouncing and personal bodyguard. Returning home, he entered the trucking industry where he was at Kenworth and Palmer Trucks before accepting his ailments and entering early retirement. A man of many hats and colors, he had a fine taste for nice things that shined, and he took pride in all that he worked hard to call his own. Jerry above all loved his family, his little poodle companion, Boo, and he was loyal to all whom he was able to form a connection with. In addition to being good company, he enjoyed bowling on a league in Franklin, being a part of the club and going through Masonic seating where he served as two-time former Grand Master and helped with inductions. Along with his father, Jerry was preceded in death by his siblings, Cathy, Dennis, and Bill Gott, along with his fur baby Boo. He leaves behind his mother Patricia Gott of Eminence; daughter Crystal Mcllree (Steven) of Monrovia; brother Stan Gott (Kelly) of Eminence; sister-in-law Leslie Gott of Carmel; grandchildren, Brooklin and Devin; nieces and nephews Ashley, Heather, Sarah, Kody, Tyler, Billy, and Justin; and great nephew Jayden. Cremation has been entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 23. 2021, from 3:30pm until 7:00pm, with a Masonic Service beginning promptly at 7:00pm.
