Dean E. Bain

Dean E. Bain, 50, of Englewood, FL, and formerly of Monrovia, left this world unexpectedly, joining his beloved mother in heaven, on March 24, 2021, with his devoted family by his side. He was born in Dunedin, FL on April 22, 1970 to Dick and the late Dolly (Shinaver) Bain. The oldest son of two boys, Dean was a loving and fierce protector to his little brother. Bryan. A busy child, he often created mischief, but kept the family entertained and on their toes. The family decided to move north to Indiana in 1978, not knowing the move would take place during the blizzard. After graduating with the Mooresville High School class of 1989, Dean discovered his passion of heavy equipment and trucking, securing employment in the construction industry. He married his sweetheart, Amanda Hopkins and the pair joyously brought their daughter Logan into the world. Fun and adventurous, the father daughter duo never missed a carnival, festival, or parade in the summer. A dedicated father, he taught her how to drive trucks, heavy equipment and four wheelers, all while making her laugh. A free-spirited comedian, Dean lived in the moment, treating every day like it was his last. With a contagious smile and boyish charm, he treasured making people laugh. He spent his free time soaking up the sun on the Florida coastline, hanging out with friends, and learned a deep appreciation of baseball thanks to his nephew Brady. Dean Bain was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Along with his mother, Dean was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ines Rose (Bailey) Bain and Jack Shinaver; along with his nephew, Bryan Bain, Jr. Dean leaves behind his cherished baby, Logan Bain (Cole Begley) of Greenwood; father, Dick Bain of Monrovia; brother, Bryan Bain of Camby; grandmother, Delores Shinaver of Florida; nephews, Brady Bain of Plainfield, and Dakota Bain (Samantha) of Mooresville; and great niece and nephew, Ryan and Jasper. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Dean’s life, in true Dean form, at Eddie and Shellie Terhune’s house, 1489 W. Gordon Rd, Mooresville, IN, on Saturday, April 17, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with live music and a bonfire beginning at 7:00 p.m. Food will be provided, but please bring your drink of choice and a lawn chair. Memorial Services were entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia.
