Cody Levi Casteel

Cody Levi Casteel, 31 years young of Martinsville, left this world unexpectedly reuniting with his beloved big brother, Joe, on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. He was born in Martinsville, IN, on October 8, 1991, to Darin and Andrea (Robson) Moyer. Tight with his big brother Joe from the beginning, and always trying to one up each other, the two were one of two things, best friends or enemies, there was no in-between. Rambunctious and slightly mischievous as a child, Cody always kept his parents on their toes. Summers were spent helping his maternal grandparents on their small farm in Camby, or gloriously riding his treasured dirt bike. After attending Eminence High School, Cody secured employment with ZF Auto Parts. A soul that reveled in the spotlight, Cody thoroughly enjoyed being the center of attention, continuously entertaining you with his witty charm. While he could be a bit bull-headed at times, he was sincerely kind-hearted and giving, never missing a beat when he saw someone in need of assistance. He adored his children immensely, regularly getting on their level to play. Drawn to the quietness of water, Cody liked fishing and kayaking, or simply playing video games. While he held a somewhat tough exterior at times, cats and chickens were his nemesis yet his mom’s favorite animals. Established as momma’s boy number two, he shared an unrivaled bond with his mom, making her days bright and cheery. Leaving this world all too soon, Cody left a void in the lives of all who were blessed to have him in their lives. His big beaming smile will be deeply and forever missed. Cody was preceded in death by his siblings, Joseph Casteel, II, and Mackenzie Ciara Moyer, and grandparents, Barbara and Curt Robson. He leaves behind his parents, Darin and Andrea (Robson) Moyer of Martinsville; children, Ciara, Emma, Izabella, and Dilinger; grandparents, Connie Garrett (Jay) of Martinsville, and Ed Moyer (Suzanne) of Florida; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral and Cremation Arrangements have been entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia, and services were held privately.
