Bradley Kent Guidry II

Bradley “BK” Guidry, II, 49, of Poland and formerly of Indianapolis, was freed of cancer and passed from this life on, Tuesday, June 4, 2019, while surrounded by his loving family. Completing the Guidry family of four, he was three years younger than his sister and entered this world on May 6, 1970, where he was born in Indianapolis, to his loving parents Bradley Kent and Mary (Robinson) Guidry. Commonly referred to as BK, he was a typical little brother who loved to pester his sister and go on adventures in the outdoors. He attended North West High School with the class of 1988 and found the yin to his yang in 1990 and was united in marriage with his soulmate, Christina (Cook) Guidry on June 25, 2000. The biggest kid of the home, he proudly became the loving father of five children and many farm animals. With a larger than life and helpful demeanor, he was a connoisseur of brain scheming and entertainer of all endeavors; formerly operating Waterlite Roofing and Remodeling, repairing gutters, working on satellites and placing candy dispensers in local businesses. Mainly keeping to himself, he was slightly stubborn and lived as if each day was an adventure. Greatly loved and dearly missed his family will always remember the good times and memories shared together around fires, on camping trips and listening to a wide selection of music that helped him learn how to play the guitar. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mindy Bartlett and one of his twin nieces, Miranda Bartlett. Along with his parents and wife, BK is survived by his children, Amanda Cook (Seth) of Poland, Christopher “Scottie” Cook (Brandi) of Terre Haute, Erika Guidry (Josh) of Indianapolis, Nicholas Cook (Kendra) of Bloomington, and Jarred Guidry (Bella) of Brazil; father-in-law, George “Bob” Cook of Florida; step father-in-law, Mike and Donna Phelps of Indianapolis; nephew, Blaise Bartlett; grandchildren, Reagen, Jace, Blayke, Gabriel, Lincoln, Carson, and Cash; along with a host of extended family members and a small circle of coworkers and good friends. Friends and family are invited to visit from Noon to 2pm, on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. A Celebration of Life Service will begin promptly at 2pm and burial will follow in Zion Cemetery in Poland.
