Ann Carolyn Fisher

Ann “Annie” Carolyn Fisher, 67, of Monrovia, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021, while visiting her home away from home that she had purchased in Sayulita, Mexico. She was born in Greensburg, Indiana, on February 1, 1954, to the late Bill Fisher and Martha (Van Den Bosch) Fisher, who survives. Raised in a rural farming community of small-town Monrovia. Ann shared her childhood with her brother, Jeff and younger sister, Janet. With both parents' bloodlines painting a picture of history and heritage, Monrovia was the roots in which she would return to call it home. With a yearning to travel, her heaven on earth was found where the wind, salt and sand meet the water. For Annie, the ocean would whisper, and it was on the beach that she found solace and happiness that only a fellow thalassaphile would know. A vibrant, neat, and intelligent person, she graduated from Monrovia High School in 1972, where she was nominated homecoming queen and played the saxophone in band. Continuing in study at the University of Washington, Ann resided in Seattle until 1989 and returned home to complete her master's degree at IUPUI. Previously working for IPL then Kenworth, Ann eventually became self-employed and was successful in owning her company; HR Alternative Consulting. Never to conceive her own children, she got to play the cool aunt and claimed her nieces and nephews were her "fill-in children;" to whom she moved back to Indiana when Brittney was four and encourage her to share in the taste of nice and fancy things like ruby's, diamonds, and precious metals. In addition, she liked to garden and care for the various house plants that made her feel at home. A vibrant and friendly independent woman, Annie lived free and full, and was thankful to live a life that included leisure. She was true to learn and grow and was in tune to know thy self. Above all, she loved to spend time with family; to who her love was limitless and equally shared with all. A kindred spirit and gypsy soul will forever hold a glow with all who has been left to feel the void that love will live on with hope and faith awaits to be reunited when the end circles back to the beginning, like current in the ocean and the sand upon the shore, long may you see and forever shall her memory remain to share her story. Along with her father, Bill M Fisher, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Fisher; and a great nephew, KJ. Survivors include her mother, Martha (Van Den Bosh) of Plainfield; sister, Janet McCracken (husband, Jerry) of Monrovia; nieces and nephews, Karie Jones (Mat) & Kris Fisher, Jake McCracken (Annette) & Brittney McCracken; and greats, Braden & Kaitlyn, Finn & Eva, Ethan & Addison; and a host of loving family members and lifelong cherished friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Noon, on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel, Monrovia, with calling held prior to the service from 10 am. Cremation arrangements were handled in Mexico, and she will be laid to rest with a private inurnment held in West Union Cemetery, Monrovia.
